Exterior Renovations
Built-In Grills · Counters · Storage · Full Outdoor Kitchens
Outdoor kitchens in Jacksonville get used year round, which is why it is worth building one properly instead of rolling a grill onto the patio. Eagle Pro Renovations of Jacksonville designs and builds custom outdoor kitchens across Jacksonville, Orange Park, Fleming Island, and the First Coast. Built-in grills, real counter space, weatherproof storage, and the gas, water, and power to run it all. One family-owned crew handles the masonry, the utilities, and the finish work, so the whole thing is built as one piece. Call (904) 578-7160 for a free estimate.
Every outdoor kitchen we build is sized to the space and the way you cook. These are the pieces we work from.
Built-in grills set into masonry or framed cabinetry, with the clearances and ventilation the manufacturer and code require. Side burners, smokers, and pizza ovens where you want them.
Enough surface to actually cook on. We use materials that handle direct sun and rain without staining, fading, or cracking.
Weatherproof doors and drawers, plus outdoor rated refrigeration and ice storage so you are not running inside every ten minutes.
Gas lines, water supply and drainage, and GFCI protected outlets run and inspected as part of the build.

There are two ways to get an outdoor kitchen in Jacksonville. You can buy a prefabricated island, have it dropped on the patio, and hook up a tank. Or you can have one built into the space. A prefab unit is faster and cheaper up front, and for some backyards that is the right call. But it comes in fixed sizes, it rarely fits the space it lands in, and it usually runs off a propane tank with no plumbing or permanent power.
Building it in means the kitchen matches the dimensions of your patio, ties into a gas line, gets a real sink and drain, and is finished to match the house instead of sitting next to it. It also gets built to code and inspected, which matters when gas and electrical are involved. We build custom, and we will tell you honestly if your space and budget point toward the simpler option instead.
Northeast Florida is hard on an outdoor kitchen. Sun fades and cracks the wrong countertop. Humidity and summer rain get into cabinetry that was never rated for it. Closer to the coast in Ponte Vedra or Fernandina Beach, salt air will pit low grade stainless within a couple of seasons. So we build with marine grade and outdoor rated components, seal and slope surfaces so water runs off instead of pooling, and specify hardware that survives the air it lives in.
Shade matters just as much. An outdoor kitchen with no cover goes unused through the hottest part of the year. If a cover or pergola is part of the plan, it needs to be engineered for wind load and vented properly above a built-in grill, which is a code issue and a safety one. We plan the cooking area and the cover together for that reason.
An outdoor kitchen touches masonry, carpentry, gas, plumbing, and electrical. Split across separate trades, it turns into a scheduling problem with nobody owning the result. We run the whole build with one family-owned crew and one point of contact, from layout to final walkthrough. Permits and inspections are handled as part of the job, and the site gets cleaned up at the end of each day because it is your backyard, not a job site you can close a door on.

We look at the space, check what gas, water, and power you already have running to it, and talk through how you cook and host.
We lay out the kitchen to fit the patio, help you choose the grill and components, spec materials for the climate, and hand you an itemized price.
We pull permits, handle HOA submittals, then run utilities and build the masonry, cabinetry, and counters with one crew.
We test every burner, valve, and connection with you before we call it done.
In the newer communities like Oakleaf, Nocatee, and Julington Creek, we are usually building on a bare lanai slab behind a builder-grade home, and the plan goes through HOA approval before it goes to the county. In established areas like Mandarin, San Marco, and Fleming Island, we are working around mature trees, existing pools, and screen enclosures that shape where the kitchen can go. Near the water in Ponte Vedra and Fernandina Beach, salt air drives the material list. We plan for the specific yard rather than dropping in a template.
If the patio surface underneath needs to be rebuilt or extended, we handle that in the same project. See the full range of outdoor living spaces we build.

It depends on size, materials, and how much equipment goes in. A compact grill island with counter space sits at one end, and a full kitchen with refrigeration, a sink, and a cover sits at the other. We give you an itemized quote after a free on-site visit. Call (904) 578-7160.
Usually yes, especially once gas, plumbing, or electrical are involved, and any attached cover has its own requirements. We handle permitting and inspections in Duval, Clay, St. Johns, and Nassau counties as part of the project.
In most cases yes, if your home already has natural gas service. Running a dedicated line to the kitchen is part of the build. If gas is not available, we design around propane with a concealed tank enclosure.
Marine grade polymer or masonry cabinetry, outdoor rated stainless, and sealed stone or concrete counters handle Florida sun and humidity best. Near the coast, salt air narrows the options further and pushes toward higher grade stainless.
Not required, but strongly recommended here. Shade makes the space usable through the summer and protects the equipment. If you build a cover over a built-in grill, it has to be properly vented, which we design for.
Most outdoor kitchens take a few weeks on site once permits are in hand. HOA approval and any custom material lead times affect the schedule. You get a realistic timeline with your quote.
